Dulaang UP is the official professional theater-production company of the University of the Philippines. It is based at the Department of Speech Communication and Theater Arts, which is the only formal theater training program in the country that gives degrees.

Dulaang UP uses the conservatory approach in training, where participants are under maximum guidance in theater performance.

Dulaang UP is the parent organization for the U.P. Playwrights Theater.

All theater students (under the Certifcate, Undergraduate, and Graduate degrees) are required to have a 9-unit practicum under the Dulaang UP whether in production, management, technical and acting aspects of theater work

Auditions for parts and other work are also welcome to other theater practitioners and individuals within the University.
